What a success this day turned out to be.
We had 19 stall holders ranging from cleaning products, to card making, to home decor. We estimate that we had about 60 - 70 people through the doors. The feedback from all stall holders was very positive, and the community members all agreed it was great, some even wanting one every weekend. Thank you to all who made the effort to come out and support us and other local businesses. Our stall holders would like to thank the community for their support. With out them, they would be able to do what they love! The Bencubbin Community Resource Centre would like to thank all stall holders for coming and supporting our event. We would also like to thank The community for supporting the stall holders for supporting our event.

On Wednesday evening we had invited the community to come to our showing of Cover to Cover featuring Fiona Palmer.
Fiona spoke about the difficulties of living in a small rural town, which is relevant to our community members. She also spoke about her current book, The Saddler Boys, her previous book and her next up coming book. Fiona also spoke about her role in the RRR Network. It was great to see some of our local ladies attend this event. They enjoyed the show and it started good conversations about rural life. Upon receiving our Seniors Week Grant, we planned an afternoon and evening out to recognise all that our seniors do in our community.
We took our seniors to Nungarin for lunch at The Woolshed Hotel, and then a look through the Nungarin Mueseam. After about 2 hours we then headed onto Merredin for afternoon tea. We enjoyed scones and jam. Then it was time to head to the Cummins Theatre for dinner and to watch the Beggers present Sing! The show was captivating and they sung songs from various artists Our seniors really enjoyed the event, it was great for them to be recognised in our community, |
