Once a year we get together with the shire to hold the Mount Marshall Seniors Week Trip. This year we went to The Swan Valley, they stopped at Slater House near Goomalling and had a Tour and morning tea, we had Lunch at Bakers Hill Pie shop, we had a look around Mundaring Weir, then we booked in to the Caravan Park. Day 2 - We went to Mondo Nougat, and next door was Morrish Nuts so we had a look through there, then we moved on to the "House of Honey", we went for a drive to Whitman Park - we took a tram Ride around the park. We stopped at Margaret River Chocolate Factory for afternoon tea and to get some CHOCOLATE!! Day 3 - We caught ferry to Fremantle, It was a lovely cruise down the river to Fremantle where they disembarked the ferry and boarded the tram for an hour long tour around Fremantle. We then boarded the boat back to Perth where we were served a buffet lunch, which was enjoyed by all, especially the prawns. We went for a drive up to Kings Park, where we walked around the war memorials and gardens. Day 4 Dawson’s Nursery in Hale Road, Forrestfield was our first stop of the day, a few gardening purchases were made, mainly tomato and rose plants. Next was Centrepoint in Midland to do some shopping and have lunch, then more shopping at Midland Gate shopping centre. As it was the last night we went out for dinner at the “Pig and Whistle Bar and Bistro” in Swan View. Day 5 We Hopped on the bus to come home. We went for a tour on a couple of back road on the north eastern side of Toodyay, but found the places that we went to see were closed. We had a quick look through Toodyay Emporium, then on to Dowerin for lunch at the Dowerin bakery. Finally arriving home just before 3pm.
